Dear Grief Encounter Volunteers,
As we celebrate National Volunteers Week, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude to each one of the Volunteers who support our organisation. From those who regularly volunteer, to those who may commit to one or two events a year, your commitment and compassion have an immeasurable impact on the lives of grieving children and their families, and we thank you.
You are the heart and soul of Grief Encounter. Through your presence, you provide support in so many ways. Whether you serve as a listening ear on our Grieftalk helpline, lend a helping hand at one of our fundraising events, contribute your expertise to our committees, cheer on our runners at challenges nationwide, each role is crucial in fulfilling our mission, that no child grieves alone.
Without our volunteers, we wouldn’t be able to do the things we do every day. The dedication they show inspires our staff, and the entire Grief Encounter community.
This past year has presented unprecedented challenges, with rising demand and increasing complexities in the children we support, but you remain steadfast in your commitment to us. You have adapted, innovated, and found new ways to connect with us, and be there to support us.
Thank you for choosing to be part of Grief Encounter, for dedicating your time, skills, and compassion to our cause. Together, we are transforming lives and providing hope and healing to those who need it most. I am honoured to work alongside you on this journey.
With sincere appreciation and warmest regards,
Suzy Turner- Jones, CEO, Grief Encounter
