The ‘Out of Darkness’ Grief Encounter Gala Dinner was held on 7th November 2022 at The Roundhouse, London, and hosted by our sensational compères Jeff Brazier, Grief Encounter Patron, and Zoe Hardman.
In addition to speeches by Dr Shelley Gilbert MBE, our Founder and Lifetime President, and Suzy Turner-Jones, Director of Clinical Services, both Suzanne Gibbard and Natalie Wayne bravely explained how their worlds changed following the death of their husbands. With the support of Grief Encounter’s qualified therapists, they told guests how they are living and loving again, and giving their children the best chance to have happy, fulfilled lives.
Nearly 800 guests were then entertained by the incredible English Tenor, actor and multi-platinum recording artist, Alfie Boe, who donated his time to perform at the event. His emotional performance ended the night with the hit ‘Run’ where guests lit up the Roundhouse in memory of loved ones.
The appeal and silent auction raised an incredible £1.1m which will help to support even more bereaved children, young people and their families.
