Forget Me Not Walk 2025 – FAQ

Read all of our commonly asked questions for the walk

What is the Forget Me Not Walk 2025?
The Forget Me Not Walk is an event dedicated to remembering someone close to you, whilst raising money for Grief Encounter. You can walk (or wheel) anywhere you like knowing that hundreds of others around the country are doing the same thing, all for a shared vision – that no child should grieve alone.

When is the Forget Me Not Walk 2025?
The walk takes place over the weekend of 17th–18th May 2025.

I’m not free that weekend – can I participate on another date?
Yes – you can do your walk on a date and time that suits you – but do let us know so we support you.

Where does the walk take place?
The Forget Me Not Walk is a virtual event, meaning you can walk anywhere – your walk, your way.

How far do I have to walk?
Some people walk 2km, 5km, or 10km, while others set their own unique goals. The walk is about cherishing memories and taking part in a way that suits you.

Do I need to register?
Yes, we ask all participants to sign up online so we can support you with fundraising tips, resources, and your walker’s pack. Register here.

Does it cost anything to take part?
Registration is £5 per person which helps us continue providing our life changing services and providing you with a walking pack. We encourage everyone to fundraise to support bereaved children and families through Grief Encounter.

How much do I need to raise?
There is no minimum target, but we suggest aiming for £150, which can provide bespoke resources for our Grief Relief Kits for a bereaved family, providing a range of tools and useful guides.

How do I set up my fundraising page?
When you sign up, you will receive a link to create a personal fundraising page through Just Giving. You can share this with friends and family to collect donations. Click here to view our Just Giving page.

What’s the best way to raise money?

  • Share your fundraising page on social media and WhatsApp
