In 2004 Shelley Gilbert sent a copy of her book along with a letter to Kevin and Nicola Wells the parents of murdered child Holly Wells (Soham). They said they could have cried “tears of relief” on receiving the Grief Encounter Workbook.
Kevin Wells has since become the patron of The Grief Encounter Charity started in 2004 and is an avid supporter.
The Grief Encounter Workbook is unique source for bereaved children and their families. Written by the Charity Director Shelley Gilbert, a bereaved child herself, it has helped many families deal with the tragic death of a loved one.
